During rehabilitation programs, criminal offenders acquire skills that aid them in being better individuals afterwards. The last major role of punishment is incapacitation. In this respect, incapacitation plays the role of crime prevention, reducing and deterring the occurrence of crimes as well as criminals (Pollock, 2013).
